Mounts Botanical Garden is celebrating the holiday season with an exhibition, “Tropical Holiday Trees at Mounts,” featuring three trees designed by the Mounts horticulture team using hundreds of bromeliads, orchids and other tropical botanicals.

The exhibit runs through the end of the year and is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Last year Mounts collaborated with Palm Beach Outlets to prepare and install the Holiday Bromeliad Tree, created by placing beautiful bromeliad plants to form a holiday tree.

“This new seasonal exhibit promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s popular Holiday Bromeliad Tree,” Mounts Curator-Director Rochelle Wolberg says.

Mounts Botanical Garden is known for exciting monthly events and dedication to nature and horticulture. Other events at Mounts include the grand opening of “Stickwork” by environmental artist Patrick Dougherty, Watercolor at the Garden and tai chi. Visit mounts.org/events to learn more.

Mounts is the oldest and largest botanical garden in Palm Beach County, with 20 acres of plants and garden space. Its 25 garden areas contain 6,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants, including Florida natives, exotic fruit trees, herbs, palms, roses and cacti.

Mounts Botanical is at 531 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach.
