Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger headlines the Center for Creative Education’s Thanks for Giving Fall Luncheon at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at The Foundations School in West Palm Beach.
The event celebrates and supports the school’s innovative approach to education while highlighting the power of creativity in transforming the lives of underserved students.
A Day of Inspiration and Creativity
The event begins with an open house, allowing guests to tour The Foundations School and its distinctive approach to integrating creativity and the arts into the curriculum. The school, a central project of CCE, serves as a model for the organization’s mission to transform teaching and learning through creativity.
With kindergarten through fifth grade, The Foundations School focuses on improving literacy and academic achievement among underserved students, using a curriculum that engages and inspires natural curiosity through the arts.
Tuition is kept low or even free, thanks to fundraising initiatives and state scholarships, so all students, regardless of financial background, have access to quality education in a nurturing environment. The Thanks for Giving Fall Luncheon is a key fundraiser.
“We’re excited to showcase the incredible work being done at The Foundations School,” CCE President and CEO Robert Hamon said. “We are honored to have Tommy Hilfiger join us in celebrating the power of creativity in transforming lives.”
Q&A With Tommy Hilfiger
Hilfiger and Foundations students join luncheon attendees for a question-and-answer session after the tour. This exclusive conversation offers insights into Hilfiger’s creative journey, his commitment to philanthropy and his support for arts in education. The hope is that students will draw inspiration from interacting with a visionary in the fashion industry and hearing about the importance of creativity in success.
“Creativity has always been at the core of everything I do. It’s about shaping ideas, pushing boundaries and inspiring others to see the world differently,” Hilfiger said. “I’m thrilled to support CCE’s mission in nurturing the next generation of innovators and bold thinkers. By embracing the arts in education, we are empowering students to become the leaders of tomorrow.”
