Fishing Fun comes to Riverbend Park in December.
Riverbend Park in Jupiter is hosting many events in December.
Naturalist walks take place on Fridays at 9 a.m. This free, all-ages guided tour explores the park’s plants and animals, visits designated trails, and discusses historic events.
Battlefield tours take place on Saturdays at 10 a.m. They are for all ages and are free. The tours teach about the Second Seminole War with the aid of a Loxahatchee Battlefield preservationist.
Fishing Fun
Dec. 17; at 9:30 a.m.
$10; 8 and older
Fishing Fun teaches fishing techniques and safety. Recommended gear includes water, sunglasses and sunblock. Fishing gear is provided.
Photo Fundamentals
Dec. 19; at 8:30 a.m.
$10; ages 10 and older
The course teaches camera and composition basics in a nature and wildlife photography setting. After learning the ropes, participants join experienced staff on a walk through the park to photograph the natural world. Participants must provide their own cameras, and tripods or monopods are recommended, as are hiking wear and water.
Birding Basics
Dec. 31; at 9:30 a.m.
$5; ages 8 and older
Birding Basics includes a guided birding walk with lessons about the birds you are likely to see.
