The restaurant scene is taking shape for the Lotis development on State Road 7.
Lotis, the largest multiuse development in Wellington in the past decade, is transforming a former shell rock mine into a bustling urban-style center just north of Wellington Regional Medical Center.
It’s being built in two parts. Wellington officials are reviewing plans for Lotis II, while work is well underway on the first phase, known as The Square. All of The Square’s retail and restaurant space is leased, according to a news release from leasing agents Katz & Associates.
“There has been a great influx of residential units in Wellington with very little variety in existing restaurants,” says Roxanne Register, a Katz & Associates senior vice president. “It has been our pleasure to create this great enclave of restaurants and retail to create a sense of community for the village of Wellington. We have user-friendly walkways throughout the project and a great deal of parking in our three-story garage and over 540 surface parking spaces.”
Register and Nicole Fontaine, a Katz & Associates vice president, have signed 12 tenants, including nine restaurants. The retail tenants are Restore Wellness, Stretch Lab and Crown Nail Spa.
Lotis Wellington also will include multifamily housing, senior independent living, assisted living, memory care, a lake, medical offices, a day care, and a public park with a walking trail and dog park.
“We are very pleased about how quickly we were able to lease up Lotis Wellington I due to its great location, our knowledge of new development and quality tenants in the market, and we are looking forward to securing retailers for Lotis II,” Fontaine says.
Lotis II will include PopStroke, a family-friendly miniature golf course and restaurant chain co-owned by Tiger Woods and based in Jupiter.
Fontaine is seeking tenants for three spaces in a Lotis II building along State Road 7. Potential uses include fast-casual dining, a hair salon, a spa, a dental office or specialty retail.
