The Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center will present the ninth annual Raptor Day for Nature Photographers on Feb. 1 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Okeeheelee Nature Center in Okeeheelee Park.

The event offers photographers the opportunity to capture stunning images of several raptor species in a natural setting. Center staff will make every effort to stage the animals in optimal lighting and against natural backdrops.

The morning begins with a brief introduction to Okeeheelee’s resident rehabilitated birds of prey and a review of the rules to ensure the safety and comfort of the animals. The birds then are perched on natural settings, allowing photographers to work at their own pace.
