Nonprofits First will hold its seventh annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards in the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The awards honor nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County and the professionals and volunteers behind hundreds of charities.
“This is the one and only event to celebrate the extraordinary work of our local nonprofits and volunteers,” Nonprofits First CEO Jessica Cecere says. “We are hoping for a record number of nonprofit and volunteer nominations.”
Nominations are being accepted at www.hatsoffawards.org through July 31 at 5 p.m. in 11 categories: Nonprofit of the Year (small, medium and large); Nonprofit Volunteer of the Year; Nonprofit MVP; Nonprofit Professional of the Year; Nonprofit Executive of the Year; Lifetime Achievement Award; Community Collaborators Award; Innovation Award; and the new Arts & Culture Impact Award, sponsored by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County.
Cultural Council President and CEO Dave Lawrence says the new award is meant to recognize arts and cultural organizations for their accomplishments and contributions to Palm Beach County.
“The Arts & Culture Impact Award will provide new opportunities for cultural organizations to be recognized among the nonprofit community,” Cultural Council President and CEO Dave Lawrence says. “Palm Beach County boasts an incredible array of arts and cultural organizations that serve as the heartbeat of our county. We’re honored to be a part of such a phenomenal event that recognizes and celebrates the very best of our nonprofit community.”
The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards will feature an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres from the Lessings Hospitality Group. Tickets are $150 through Sept. 1 and $175 from Sept. 2 on at www.hatsoffawards.org. Parking is free. The Kravis Center is at 701 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach.
