The Mounts Botanical Garden of Palm Beach County will host a wide range of health-focused and horticultural-themed classes and events in August, starting with the New Moon Cacao Ceremony.
New Moon Cacao Ceremony & Sound Immersion Experience with Casa Rituals
Aug. 4 | 10 a.m. to noon
$35 for members; $45 for nonmembers
Registration is required; class is limited to 30 adults.
In the Herb Garden of Well-Being, participants explore the healing properties of cacao beneath the shade of a cacao tree. The experience begins with a ceremonial smudging and blessing to release daily stress. A cup of premium ceremonial cacao is followed by a heart-opening cacao ceremony, aligning intentions with the new moon’s energies. The session concludes with a yoga kidra meditation and a deep sound healing experience featuring a gong, crystal singing bowls and other high-frequency instruments. Participants should bring a yoga mat and a blanket, avoid alcohol on the day of the ceremony, and refrain from caffeine for three hours before and after the event. Additional details can be found here.
The mission of the Mounts Botanical Garden is to inspire and educate through nature. The garden is a 20-acre oasis with more than 7,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants. Visit www.mounts.org to learn more about how you can get involved and attend events.
