Palm Beach County-based Lisa Kaw’s colorful paintings featuring parrots, ocean waves, palm fronds, sunglasses and sunshine are decorating the coaches of a Brightline train running between Miami and Orlando through September.

The display is part of a collaboration between the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Discover The Palm Beaches to promote Palm Beach County as a top tourist destination.

“We partnered with Discover The Palm Beaches and Brightline to not only promote The Palm Beaches’ vibrant collection of hotels and beaches, but to specifically highlight that Palm Beach County is Florida’s Cultural Capital,” says Dave Lawrence, the Cultural Council’s president and CEO. “The Palm Beaches have an incredible array of arts and cultural arts offerings, as well as talented creative professionals like Lisa Kaw. We are thrilled to feature the artist’s colorful artwork that evokes our tropical destination in such an attractive way.”

Known as “Palm Beach Posh,” Kaw’s artwork features her interpretation of the Cultural Council’s iconic “Shades of Culture” sunglasses. Her designs also highlight The Palm Beaches’ natural beauty, including four playful parrots inspired by and named after her Palm Beach County artist friends: “Pink Parrot” Devin Noel, “Turquoise Parrot” Mandy Mizell, “Blue Parrot” Corey Morrow and “Yellow Parrot” Sarah LaPierre.

“I wanted to create something that helps people feel everything that The Palm Beaches represent when they see it: the chic shopping, dancing palms, cool ocean breezes, delectable dining and a vibrant scene,” Kaw says. “My artwork communicates the wonder of our natural world, and I love living and working in The Palm Beaches. It truly is a tropical paradise.”

Based in West Palm Beach, Kaw blends high-impact minimalism with playful color schemes to transport viewers into a realm of pure imagination. To see more of her work, visit here.
