Partners Pushkar Marathe and Andy Dugard have announced plans to open Ela Curry & Cocktails and Mango Mercado side by side at CityPlace in West Palm Beach by mid-2025.
Inspired by chef Marathe’s childhood in India, Ela Curry & Cocktails will feature familiar Indian favorites and new discoveries. The menu will highlight street food alongside fresh, regional Indian dishes. The beverage program will mix creative, seasonal and unconventional cocktails.
Mango Mercado will offer fast-casual dining, meeting the need for grab-and-go options at CityPlace. Marathe promises convenience without sacrificing bold flavors and fresh ingredients.
“When the opportunity presented itself, we knew CityPlace would be a great location for Ela Curry & Cocktails and Mango Mercado,” the chef said. “This vibrant urban destination, where workplaces, residences and culture come together, and the proximity to Brightline will expose Ela and Mango Mercado to a thriving and growing demographic.”
Marathe and Dugard began their culinary partnership in 2019. Their debut, Stage Kitchen & Bar in Palm Beach Gardens, quickly became a local favorite and was named one of USA Today’s Restaurants of 2024.
They introduced Ela Curry Kitchen in 2022, which was named the best new restaurant of the year by The Palm Beach Post. Ela Curry Kitchen evolved into Ela Curry & Cocktails.
They added Mango Mercado in Palm Beach Gardens to provide grab-and-go items, made-to-order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, and salads. Signature sandwiches such as the turkey club and The Coronation, a curried chicken salad on toasted sourdough, are popular.
“West Palm Beach has become one of the most sought-after dining destinations in South Florida, attracting visitors from across the country and around the world,” said Gopal Rajegowda, executive vice president at CityPlace owner Related Ross. “We are proud to ensure that local flavors continue to thrive in CityPlace’s growing culinary collection and look forward to welcoming beloved regional restaurants Ela Curry & Cocktails and Mango Mercado to the neighborhood.”
