The Brooke USA Foundation’s signature event, Divertimentos & Dressage, returns to Wellington for its third year Thursday, Feb. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center.
Co-chaired by Jennifer Burger, Karen Nell and Candace Platz, the event combines the elegance of Grand Prix dressage with classical music performed by the Palm Beach Symphony, led by guest conductor Kyle Elgarten.
The riders include Brooke USA ambassador JJ Tate, Allison Kavey, Sahar Daniel Hirosh, Judy Sloan and Molly Maloney. Curated by Collier Wimmer of Three Wishes Freestyle, the evening promises to display horsemanship and artistry.
Divertimentos & Dressage is the brainchild of Brooke USA board member and professional flutist Sally Frick. “This event is not just about an extraordinary experience; it’s about making a meaningful impact,” Frick said. “The funds raised directly support Brooke USA’s mission to improve the welfare of working horses, donkeys and mules around the world.”
Brooke USA is marking its 10th anniversary of improving the lives of over 300,000 working equines annually and, in turn, enhancing the sustainability of communities worldwide.
“Divertimentos & Dressage is the perfect way to kick off a year of celebration,” Brooke USA CEO Emily Dulin said. “It unites equestrian sport, music and philanthropy in a way that resonates deeply with our supporters.”
The evening will begin with a VIP cocktail reception sponsored by Cherry Knoll Farm. The performance will commence at 7 p.m., followed by a dessert reception sponsored by the Max Kagan Family Foundation. Valley Bank will provide free valet parking.
General admission tickets are $75. VIP tickets are $250. Table packages are available.
