Delray Beach is set to turn green once again as it hosts the 55th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, March 15. This beloved tradition brings together residents and visitors for a day of celebration, community spirit and Irish pride in the heart of downtown Delray Beach.
The annual parade will feature more than 70 entries, including international fire departments, U.S. veterans, Pipes and Drums bands, local schools, businesses and decorative floats. The parade kicks off at noon, beginning at the Intracoastal Bridge on Atlantic Avenue and proceeding west to NW 5th Avenue. Spectators can expect a vibrant display of music, pageantry and cultural pride as the procession moves through the city’s bustling downtown district.
“The Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a tradition that has grown tremendously over the years, drawing thousands of attendees who enjoy the diverse lineup of participants,” says event organizer John Fischer. “It’s a great way for our community to come together and celebrate Irish heritage and local pride.”
Following the parade, the St. Patrick’s Day Festival will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Old School Square. This family-friendly event will feature live music, food vendors, arts and crafts and a variety of games and activities for all ages. Traditional Irish performances, including Pipes and Drums, will add to the festive atmosphere.
Founded in 1968, the Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade has a long history of honoring first responders, military veterans and public safety officials.
