Circus comes to Cox Science Center

Mel Page

Cox Science Center & Aquarium is holding “Science Circus,” a recurring special event, May 27 as part of the Nights at the Museum series.

The science center puts on themed events for all ages from 6 to 9 p.m. on the last Friday of select months. Activities at most Nights at the Museum include science crafts, exhibits, planetarium shows and a spectacular view of the Florida sky in the observatory.

“Science Circus” will feature circus-themed events and activities promoting learning and fun. Attendees can visit touch tanks, view “Dinosaurs Alive!” in the planetarium, create jester hats, play mini-golf, test their skills in a STEM pencil challenge, participate in the “balance the clown” activity, watch Sillee the Clown perform and visit the observatory for stargazing if the weather is good.

Cox Science Center & Aquarium is an innovative, interactive museum and aquarium dedicated to instilling a love for education and science into visitors of all ages. Admission for the general public is $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors 60 and older, $12.95 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children 3 and under. For members, adult admission is $12.95, and kids 12 and under are free. The planetarium is an additional $5 for nonmembers and free for members.
