The boys in blue defeated the ladies in pink Jan. 4 in the $75,000 Battle of the Sexes, a highlight of the first Saturday Night Lights of the 2025 Winter Equestrian Festival at Wellington International.

The Battle of the Sexes pits male and female riders against each other in a series of challenges, including speed rounds and match races. The 25-11 win for the men was their third in a row but only their fifth in the 15 years of the popular event. See the full results here.

Beyond the competition, the kickoff of the festival featured activities such as face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo and live music.
