Corn eating contest takes center stage this year at the Sweet Corn Fiesta.

Celebrate Palm Beach County’s sweet corn harvest with the 23rd annual Sweet Corn Fiesta, featuring family-friendly activities, rides, live music, corn-based dishes and fresh sweet corn for purchase.
The event is organized by the Western Palm Beach County Farm Bureau and showcases the locally grown sweet corn, which is considered to be some of the best in the United States.

When: April 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Price: $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and younger.
Returning this year is the corn-eating competition hosted by Major League Eating’s International Federation of Competitive Eaters. You must be 18 or older to enter.
Other events at the fiesta include: sweet corn tastings and sales, cooking demonstrations, corn shucking and eating contests, and live music and entertainment.
The Crystal River Band starts at 11 a.m. and The Andrew Morris Band continues at 2 p.m.
There will also be a kids' activities section that includes various fun activities for children, such as a petting zoo, face painting and games.
